One Year Anniversary

Today is me and Victor’s one year anniversary.

So much has changed in a year. I’ve changed. Or rather, I’m becoming me again. I’m living in Texas now and I’m happier than I’ve ever been. I feel so lucky to have Victor.

Things aren’t perfect here, but my life with him is so much better.

And I love him so very much. He’s my everything. I’d do anything for him. I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him. He’s amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better man.

Ten Years

Today Marc and I celebrate ten years today.

I can’t believe it has been ten years. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like it has been that long.

I met Marc through a chatroom on AOL. We started chatting through an instant message and hit it off. We talked every day and eventually agreed to date. For almost two years we were in a long distance relationship. Then on my 18th birthday he came to Pennsylvania. After that, he visited me every two weeks – he lived in New Jersey – and eventually he moved here to be with me.

I am happy with Marc and I can’t imagine being with anyone else. Since the day we met, he has been there for me and helped me through so much. He loves me and is supportive of me. He’s a great guy and I look forward to many more years with him.

Nine Years

My boyfriend and I found each other through an online chat room. We had an instant connection and began to chat online every day. Eventually, our chatting moved to talking on the phone.

I looked forward to talking to him every day and he looked forward to talking to me. Our relationship isn’t perfect, but what relationship is? We’re happy together. I love him and he’s the only person I ever want to be with. I can completely be myself around him and he accepts me. He loves me, he cares about me. What more could I ask for?

Today is our anniversary and we’ve been together for nine years. We’re spending the day together and got each other gifts. My gift was Joseph Delaney’s newest book, A New Darkness, which I really wanted. I’ll be reading it soon 🙂

I’m looking forward to the rest of the day with him. We’re going to watch movies and play video games together today.

8 Years

On Saturday, September 21st, Marc and I celebrated our 8th anniversary.

I can’t believe it’s been 8 years. I know some of you know how Marc and I met from following my blog on Xanga, but I’ll tell it again for those who are new readers.

I was 16 at the time and he was 19. We met in a chat room on AOL. It was the New Jersey chat room. I was just going into the different states chat rooms looking for people to talk to and one night I ended up in that chat room and found Marc. After that, we began to chat every night. Eventually we talked on the phone and that turned into an every day thing as well.

We had an instant connection and a lot in common. Our relationship was long distance for a while and actually didn’t meet in person until I was 18. He came to visit for the first time on my 18th birthday. After about a year and a half of coming to visit me, he decided to move to Pennsylvania to live with me.

I know that there are still people who think online relationships can’t work, or that you can’t fall in love with someone without meeting them first. Well, my relationship worked and I fell in love with Marc before we met in person on my 18th birthday. He is a great guy, he is caring, loving and the person I want to spend my life with. I’m very lucky to have found him.

Marc worked on Saturday, but we still got to spend some time together. I got him a few gifts I knew he would like and he got me The Last Apprentice: I Am Alice by Joseph Delaney. It’s book number 12 in the series and he knew how much I wanted it. So we had a good day together and I’m looking forward to celebrating 9 years with him next year.

Seven Years

Today Marc and I have been together for seven years. It’s hard to believe it has been that long, but it’s been a wonderful seven years.

We’ve been through a lot together. He’s been there for me through the toughest times and has always encouraged me. He supports me in whatever I do and he’s truly an amazing guy. There’s really so much I could say about him, about us. I just know that I am happy and I’m lucky to have found such a wonderful guy.

I know I’ve shared our story before, about how we met. I have some new readers though, so I will share again. I was 16 and had broken up with my boyfriend of two years. He was trying to control, telling me what to do and so I ended it. I had seen (and still see) so many people in relationships with controlling people and I knew I didn’t want that for myself. So, I wasn’t looking for anyone. I wasn’t looking for a relationship at all. But then, I met Marc.

I had just come back from a vacation in West Virginia and I was online chatting with people in a New Jersey chat room. Marc had sent me an instant message and we began talking. We found out that we had a lot in common and we had an instant connection. He added me to his buddy list and I added him to mine. After that night we began talking every day online. Then, a few weeks later we talked on the phone for the first time. He was shy and so was I. But pretty soon, we were talking on the phone every day.

Every day I looked forward to talking to him. It’s what I waited for every day and eventually I asked him to be my boyfriend. We didn’t meet until my eighteenth birthday and it was a special day. My birthday is January and I remember it was snowing that day. We stayed up most of the night talking and watching DVDs. It was such a good birthday, a special one.

I know there are people against online dating and say you can’t find love online. All I know is that I did. I found Marc and fell in love with him. I’m happy I found him and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him.
